Congratulations, Ben Lacey!
This was a close one! With your multiple roles as Town Council member and committee member, your votes counted DOUBLE as every speed to market warehouse traveled through for approval (same as Simpson), but you took the extra step by testifying as a citizen during a public hearing to people that you appointed on whether a recommendation would be given right back to you as a Town Council member. Now that is such a special form of intimidation that we had to reward it! Bravo on your public support!
We also want to give you credit for introducing your ideals of a "Live here, work here" philosophy. That must be why all these congested planned developments are being approved with no special exceptions needed for government-supported housing. Now, some citizens would prefer higher education work opportunities that would align with the very strong rankings for Brownsburg Community School Corporation, but who are we to judge? Since warehouse work is now the new norm in our Town, may we suggest that Town Staff no longer receive the benefits of climate control and fixed schedules? So, let's all "Live here, work here, freeze your butt off here for every 12-hour shift in the winter!" Think of how many more warehouses you can approve with that mandatory overtime during the holidays! You created the new norm for our citizens, so we anticipate that you will support it for Town Staff.
